ABOUT

Captain, USCG Master License <50 GT.  Commercial Towing Endorsement.  Decades of family boat ownership from canoes to trawlers.

Over 40+ years in commercial aircraft manufacturing and airline maintenance; Customer Support, New Airplane Delivery, Quality Assurance, Supplier Quality, Maintenance Planning.

I have an FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) aircraft mechanic's license, along with being a retired aerospace manufacturing FAA Designee ODA (Organization Designee) for Airworthiness and Conformity, and DAR-F (Designated Airworthiness Representative for Manufacturing).  I've worked with engineers, pilots, airline executives, the FAA and foreign regulatory agencies for airlines throughout Asia, Europe, Australia and the Middle East.

As an FAA Designee ODA & DAR-F and Quality Assurance representative, I have performed countless Quality Management System and manufacturing process audits, assessments, and inspections.  As well as, thousands of customer inspections on new aircraft.  Aerospace audits and inspection competencies are the same in the marine environment, too.  Nearly all manufacturing and maintenance process flows are similar in concept regardless of the product.

I played a significant and key customer support role in the manufacture, technical acceptance, airworthiness certification, customer demonstration flights and delivery of over $42 Billion in new commercial airplanes sold to airlines throughout Asia, Europe, Australia and the Middle East, and domestically.

Whether you are having a new airplane or a boat built, modified, or maintenaned, I can help you, as your advocate, at a manufacturer or maintenance vendor site.

I held my first boat bow line at the age of five trying to keep the wind and waves from pulling our 18’ foot Chris Craft off the beach on the North shore of Lake Tahoe.  As a near life long boat owner with a USCG Master Captain's license, I may be able to help you  - even if only a little.
